| To
start: From Falmouth to Mawnan
Smith, take the road to Helford Passage,
before reaching Trebah there is a turn
off to the left signposted Durgan. |
 |
| Car Park:
There is a National
Trust car park on the right hand side
near Bosveal. |
 |
| The Walk:
From the car park
turn left up the lane and go past the
buildings at Bosveal. There is a triangle
of grass with a stone style set back.
Take this route, keeping to the edge,
then over another style which leads
to an enclosed path behind playing fields
and houses. |
 |
| After a short walk
through a field, keeping to the left,
there is a gate. Turn right here, down
the path which takes you down Carwinion
Valley. It is a good path with a bridge
over the small stream, but can be a
little muddy in winter. |
 |
| This leads to gate
leading onto cove (pic1). Turn right
here and head over the fields past Bosloe
House (pic4) to Durgan (pic5). After
going down into Durgan walk straight
through the village and up the hill,
head inland passing the sign for the
coast path on your left. |
 |
| Keep on this path
up the hill, bringing you out at the
entrance to Trebah Gardens. Go straight
over here onto a woody lane (pic7).
This takes you onto the tarmac road,
turn left and head down to Helford Passage. |
 |
| The Ferryboat Inn
(pic12) at Helford Passage is very popular
for meals, summer and winter. From here
turn left along the coast path, taking
you past the bottom of Trebah Gardens
(pics 14,15). |
 |
| After Trebah follow the
path over some fields, bringing you
back out at the village of Durgan (pic16).
Down into the village again, but keep
to the tarmac road. This leads back
to the car park at Bosveal. |
