New Board elected at Poly |
NINE NEW MEMBERS have been elected to the Board of the Royal Cornwall Polytechnic Society in addition to six previous members. Henk Wiekens was elected as interim chairman. The task is now on for the new-look board to come up with money-raising ideas to fund the long-term future of The Poly. Certainly with the amount of enthusiasm shown by the general public to save the town's art centre, the outlook must surely be positive. The Poly was re-opened four months after closing its doors when the trading company running the "business" for the RCPS in Church Street shut last December. The re-opening comes as a victory for over 5000 members of Facebook "Save Our Poly" group. You can view what's on at The Poly HERE. |
